Most parents are stuck negotiating, explaining, and bribing their way through the day. There's a better way. Learning how to lead with love and respect — without sacrificing one for the other.
The 3 Lies Parents Believe
You were sold a parenting model that sounds gentle but leaves you powerless. Here is what most parents believe, why it backfires, and what we replace it with.
"If I explain enough, they'll cooperate."
More words don't create authority. They create negotiation. Kids don't need a debate partner. They need a leader.
"Being firm will damage the relationship."
Wrong. Kids feel safest when a calm adult is clearly in charge. Weakness creates anxiety. Clarity creates trust.
"I just need the right technique."
Techniques fail when your own state is off. We fix the parent first. Then the words actually work.
Who's Teaching This
My name is Shmulik Cohen. Sixteen years in the classroom. Father of four. Guilt, fear, and yelling — that used to be the norm. Just like it is for a lot of the parents I coach now.
Then something changed. Being in charge doesn't mean being harsh. Being loving doesn't mean giving in. That shift worked — with hundreds of my students, in my own home, and with the dozens of parents I've coached since.
It's not about yelling louder. It's about becoming the parent your kids can lean on.
The Book
The foundation behind everything I teach. How to show up clear, calm, and in charge — without becoming harsh, distant, or someone you don't recognize.
